Germantown Avenue Crisis Ministry

Germantown Avenue Crisis Ministry (GACM) is a mission initiative of The First Presbyterian Church in Germantown. First Church was part of a consortium of congregations that founded the ministry in 1997. The goal was to be a resource to help Northwest Philadelphia residents in need. First Church was chosen as the location of the ministry because of its accessibility and history of having a social worker available to assist those who come to our door.

GACM provides social services Monday through Wednesday 9am – 2pm. Food is distributed each Thursday, 10am – 12 Noon. Distribution takes place in the parking lot.  Food donations can be dropped off Monday through Thursday, 9am – 2pm. Call the office (215-843-2340) to inquire about volunteer opportunities.
