As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), we are guided by our "Reformed Faith." As was stressed by the Protestant Reformers of the sixteenth century, we are committed to "the priesthood of all believers." Our worship is designed to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and to send people out to follow Christ and serve others in his name. As Presbyterians we place great value on scripture and on interpretation of scripture as found in the Presbyterian Book of Confessions. We observe two sacraments: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism celebrates a person’s (infant through adult) entrance into the fellowship of the Church. The Lord’s Supper, or Communion, commemorates the meal that Jesus celebrated with his disciples the night before he was crucified. This sacrament symbolizes God’s grace or forgiving love.
