First Church Chancel Choir 
The First Church Chancel Choir sings at the 10:00am Worship Service and offers strong leadership of congregational song in addition to offering the great choral repertoire of the Christian Church. Membership is by audition with the Music Director, David Daugherty. Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings at 8:45 AM and Sunday after worship from 11:30 AM to 12:30PM. Handbell Choir
Voices in Bronze is an inter-generational group open to those in fourth grade and up. No prior ringing experience is necessary but rudimentary knowledge of music notation would be helpful. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00.
Oratorio Choir
The Germantown Oratorio Choir is a community-based concert choir. This choir sings on the First Church Concert Series with orchestra several times each season as well as performances in other locations.
The Germantown Oratorio Choir frequently collaborates with other area choirs such as Mongomery County Community College, Germantown Friends School and the choirs of Trinity Presbyterian, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and The First Presbyterian Church in West Chester. The choir was founded in 1964 by the Distinguished former choir director Robert Carwithen.
The Germantown Oratorio Choir rehearses Tuesdays from 7:30-9:00 PM and sings major choral repertoire with orchestra each season on the church's Concert Series. The choir attracts people from the Germantown community and beyond. Membership is by audition.
The 2009-2010 season will include performances of George Frederick Handel's Messiah with The Philadelphia Sinfonia, The African Children's Choir, The Pennsylivania Girlchoir, and the Organist Richard Spotts, among others. You can learn more about our concert series here.
