Serendipity Bible Study
Due to our string of bad weather Sundays, the Serendipity Bible Study had to postpone the start of its study of the Old Testament book of Nehemiah until March 7. That means you still have the opportunity to join us from the very beginning!
Together we will explore this fascinating book which is rich in both history and relevancy to 21st century Philadelphians.
Nehemiah chronicles the challenges the people of Israel faced in rebuilding Jerusalem and the temple after returning from Babylonian exile. In the 1990’s, this story provided the inspiration behind a community-based movement which led to the construction of Nehemiah Homes, an affordable housing anchoring neighborhood revitalization in West Philadelphia.
Please join us Sundays at 11:30am in the Jennings Room as Rev. Porter moderates our discussions. Together we will discover how this book of the Bible can help us overcome the challenges we face in our life and congregation.
