Bread & Cup this Sunday
Since the first Sunday of February was the Super Bowl, Bread and Cup will be held on Sunday, February 14th at 7:00 pm.
Our headliners for the evening are both friends and audience favorites of our Bread & Cup Coffee House:
RuNett Nia Ebo-Gray is a longtime Germantown resident who has a poetry/spoken word venue of her own, ”Poetify: Poetry to Edify,” housed in the Germantown Church of the Brethren’s fellowship hall. Her poem, ”Lord, Why Did You Make Me Black?” is published in the anthology Chicken Soup for the African-American Soul and she is the author of several self-published books of poetry. Her work is witty and wise, inspiring and inclusive of people from all walks of life. In addition to her poetry, Ms. Ebo-Gray will bring her gifts as a singer to Bread and Cup as part of a well-rounded program which will include other musicians and dancers.
Elijah B. Pringle III is also a singer and self-published poet. He was one of the headliners of the very first Bread and Cup along with jazz bagpipe artist Rufus Harley back in February, 2003!
We will also have our open microphone time for others to share their performing arts gifts in our ever-growing gathering for building intergenerational and multicultural community through the arts.
We appreciate your support of Bread and Cup through your donation of food for our refreshment table and your attendance.
Bring a friend or make a new one at Bread and Cup!
