Alternative Ways To Give
Electronic Pledge Payment
Many things have changed in our world and that includes methods to deliver your offerings to our church. Traditionally cash and checks are given each Sunday when the offering plate is passed, however, there are viable alternatives.
Many of our members have chosen the direct deposit method – in this method you authorize the church to have your offering, in whatever periodic method you choose, to be directly transferred from your bank account to the church. You will see this on your bank statement as well as your giving statement provided by our church. This method does require you to establish “continuing” or regular dates for your contributions but this can be modified, if needed, by your request.
Many banking institutions also offer a bill pay” feature where you may direct them to send your contribution directly to the church. In this method you control exactly when you wish to make the contribution.
Both of these methods help the church in two ways:
- first your offerings will be made regardless of whether you are able to attend worship
- secondly, it makes the processing of offerings simplified.
One question that has been asked is “What do I put in the offering plate if my contribution is directly transferred?” If you wish to use offering envelopes as an indication of your already paid offerings, these are available. Speak with Kathy Charlesworth in the church office to sign up for
this program or to learn more.
