Youth Ministry Snaphot
Sunday School: Elementary, Middle School, & Senior High
(October through mid June)
Join us on Sunday for a class that will help to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible while having fun and meeting new friends!
Children (K-grade 4): Children participate in the first part of worship each Sunday and go to their classrooms during the Passing of the Peace. Activities include games, snacks, crafts, and take home sheets from the Akaloo series.
Middle School & High School: 11:30am-12:30pm, right after Sunday worship service. We are using the Akaloo curriculum series for this class.
Middle School Tuesday Night Fellowship (year round)
Come share dinner together, play games, participate in fun activities, and learn and grow in our relationship with each other and with Christ! We meet the first and third Tuesday of every month. We gather at 6:30pm and end at 8:30 pm.
Senior High Friday Night Youth Group (year round) Come be a part of a group that takes fun, friendship and faith seriously. With lock ins, games, retreats, relevant biblical lessons, and a mission trip in store for the coming year, this is the type of fun and opportunity to grow in your faith that you don't want to miss! Celebration Sunday (the last Sunday of the month)
All children Pre K to Grade 4 will remain for the entire worship service. Worship packets will be available for children at the beginning of the service which include games, puzzles and fun activities that are based on the sermon texts for the day.
Service Learning Events (Every other month on a Saturday, year round)
Every other month on a Saturday we will be taking our faith to the streets and living it out by serving at different ministries throughout the city. Home construction, nature park upkeep, fund raising for the alleviation of hunger, and working with a homeless shelter will be some of the opportunities that we will have to love God and others through our actions this year. Outreach Events (Every other month on a Saturday, year round)
When we are not serving in our community, we take a Saturday to participate in a fun event designed to allow young people to invite friends and share a memorable outing together. Past events have included going to amusement parks, mini golfing, snow tubing, picnics, movie theaters, etc.
Christian Education Committee Meetings
Parents and others concerned about youth are invited to meet with Christian Heyer Rivera and the Christian Education Committee every other month on the second Wednesday from 6:30pm until 8:30pm. This will be a time for parents to express ideas and concerns for our youth and our existing programs and envision where we need to be headed in the future. Plan to be there!
