Reflections on FPCG Christmas Festival
It has been a number of years since First Church had a Christmas Festival, and the tradition was revived this past Advent season.
Over 100 people came to enjoy an evening of making eatable houses and Christmas decoration.
Outside in our parking lot we viewed a live nativity scene with farm animals surrounding Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus.
Inside we enjoyed a play of the Christmas story featuring our many First Church children and youth.
Young people sang Christmas carols and the youth bell choir played from Longstreth's balcony.
Santa even came and paid a visit.
This was truly an evening enjoyed by all. Many thanks go to the members of the Christian Education Committee for renewing this First Church tradition.
