Don’t Miss Church This Sunday, December 5th!

The moderator of the 219th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) is coming to worship with us at First Pres this Sunday!

Cynthia Bolbach, an elder from the Washington DC area, was elected as moderator at this year’s assembly meeting in Minneapolis, MN this past July.

This is quite an honor for us as a congregation to host the moderator of our national church, as there are approximately 10,000 PCUSA congregations throughout the United States. Imagine...we are one of 10,000! The duties of the moderator include serving as an ambassador of the church as she travels throughout the world.

Be sure to be at worship this Sunday and offer a warm welcome to Cynthia!
