August Challenge Offering

Support the Ministry of the John Gloucester House



The John Gloucester House, a Presbyterian Community Ministry in the Point Breeze Community in Philadelphia, will be the recipient of our August Challenge Offering on 8/29.

Dedicated staff, local community members and volunteers from around the Philadelphia area provide programs serving children and teenagers as well as programs for adults and seniors. The 50 Plus Club meets from 12:00 to 2:00 on Mondays for Bible Study.

Our Summer Seminiarian

You have hopefully had a chance to say hello to our summer seminarian intern, Benjamin White.

Benjamin White is a 3rd year seminarian at Princeton Theological Seminary.  He lives in West Philadelphia with his wife of 5 years, Gwyneth. He is a graduate of Eastern University where he studied Spanish.  He is passionate about Jesus and the city and is excited to share his gifts in the mission of FPCG. 

This summer he will be working with Christian Heyer-Rivera to develop “The Basement” drop in center and he will be teaching Bible Study to the Freedom School students, along with other duties including participation in our celebration of worship on Sundays.

He looks forward to meeting you all and working with our community!
