In common with all Christian churches, we seek to worship God, proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to the scriptures, develop community, and nurture others through the pastoral caregiving of our members and staff.

We have some unique tasks due to our Germantown location and congregational history. These include:
- Providing special programs for children and families in the local community
- Building a healthy, diverse congregation
- Developing an urban mission
- Offering a ministry of music and arts
- Using our building and endowment with creativity, responsibility, and generosity
